A weekend of learning at Hockenheim during the Ultimate Cup Series

From 26 to 28 May, driver Alexandra Hervé faced a major challenge when she took part for the second time in the Ultimate Cup Series, with the Formula Motorsport team, on the Hockenheim circuit in Germany.

During the previous Formula Cup event at Lédenon, Alexandra had experienced back pain. In order to strengthen her back, the driver unfortunately injured herself, preventing her from continuing her physical training and simulator sessions. Despite these constraints, she nevertheless decided to take part in the competition.

Testing got off to a promising start for Alexandra, who managed to get up to 4th and 6th positions, demonstrating her good potential on this demanding circuit.

However, the first race was marked by a series of unfortunate incidents for the driver. After qualifying in seventh position out of eleven competitors, Alexandra was involved in an accident during a safety car period. Another driver hit her while she was setting the fastest times of the three drivers ahead of her, damaging her car and forcing her to retire prematurely.

Despite this disappointment, Alexandra managed to maintain her position of seventh in the next two races. She even set the fourth fastest time in the race, demonstrating her talent and determination. However, her back pain intensified, compromising her performance and preventing her from realising her full potential.

This experience was a real lesson for the driver, who was able to learn valuable lessons throughout this difficult weekend. Despite the obstacles, Alexandra is not giving up and remains convinced of her worth as a racing driver. You can catch up with her on 16, 17 and 18 June at the Circuit Paul Ricard, where she will be competing in the Formula Cup for the TTE.
